NOMINATIONS for Stake Races

BUFFALO STAKES –
Minimum purse $40,000E
Buffalo Stakes for 2-year-olds foaled in Manitoba or Saskatchewan.
By subscription of $30 each for mares served to accompany the nomination form by the first Tuesday in March of the foaling year.
· To continue the eligibility for foals of mares nominated, the following additional payments must be made.
· Second subscription of $50 due by first Tuesday in March of the yearling year.
· Third subscription of $80 due by the first Tuesday in March of the 2 year old year.
· Fourth subscription of $100 due 3rd Tuesday in May of the 2 year old year
Additional $270 due at time of entry and $270 to start.
Distance: 7.5 Furlongs. Non nominated horses may be made eligible to the Buffalo Stakes by payment to CTHS office of 1% of the purse plus all missed nomination fees due the 3rd Tuesday in May of the 2 year old year or 10% of the purse at time of entry, to the race office, in addition to the enter and start fees.
JOHN W. SIFTON STAKES (for colts & geldings) or R.C. ANDERSON STAKES (for fillies) -
Minimum purse $40,000E
J.W. Sifton Stakes for 3-year-old colts & geldings or R.C. Anderson Stakes for 3-year-old fillies, foaled in Manitoba or Saskatchewan
By subscription of $30 each for mares served to accompany the nomination form by the first Tuesday in March of the foaling year.
· To continue the eligibility for foals of mares nominated, the following additional payments must be made.
· Second subscription of $50 due by first Tuesday in March of the yearling year.
· Third subscription of $60 due by the first Tuesday in March of the 2 year old year.
· Fourth subscription of $80 due by the first Tuesday in March of the 3 year old year.
· Fifth subscription of $100 due third Tuesday in May of the 3 year old year
Additional $240 due at time of entry and $240 to start.
Distance: Colts & Geldings - One and One Eighth Miles. Fillies - One Mile.

FRANK ARNASON SIRE STAKES (for colts & geldings) or HAZEL WRIGHT SIRE STAKES (for fillies) –
Purse $40,000E
F. Arnason Sire Stakes for 3-year-old colts & geldings or Hazel Wright Sire Stakes for 3-year-old fillies, sired by stallions registered to the Manitoba Stallion Program.
By subscription of $10 each for mares served to accompany the nomination form by the first Tuesday in March of the foaling year.
· To continue the eligibility for foals of mares nominated, the following additional payments must be made.
· Second subscription of $20 due by first Tuesday in March of the yearling year.
· Third subscription of $30 due by the first Tuesday in March of the 2 year old year.
· Fourth subscription of $50 due by the first Tuesday in March of the 3 year old year.
Additional $345 due at time of entry and $345 to start.
Distance: 6 Furlongs.
Non nominated horses may be made eligible to the Frank Arnason Sire Stakes or Hazel Wright Sire Stakes, by payment to CTHS office of 1% of the purse plus all missed nomination fees due the 3rd Tuesday in May of the 3 year old year, or 10% of the purse at time of entry, to the race office, in addition to the enter and start fees.
Conditions: If a mare nominated to any of the above stakes has a dead foal, or more than one foal, is barren, or the foal dies at birth, the entry of such a mare is void and the nomination fee shall be returned to the subscriber. Transfer of ownership of any entry must be reported promptly. All stake races are contingent on funding. We reserve the right to make changes.
